I just started using this book in my third grade class. My kids are a mix of struggling readers, second language learners, and not-quite-fluent readers. The children love to put on puppet shows,which I encourage because they are re-reading, learning to read as if they are speaking, picking up great vocabulary, and presenting what they've learned in a way they and their audience enjoy.
